Don't skimp on air filters
I just installed a cheaper secondary filter. Now I understand why it's worth spending a few extra bucks for an official Subaru filter. The cheaper filter has serrated rubber edges that prevent the case from closing. I had to trim the edges of the budget filter to fit. And even then, budget tires are stiffer and denser, so the engine filter housing was very difficult to close and snap into place.
