I wanted a little catwalk for my kitchen and it was perfect! (I ordered size 2x8). It's quite soft, the thickness is just what I wanted, it looks like a high quality rug and the price was very reasonable (and it matched my table/island runner - a huge bonus)! I haven't washed it yet but from the feel I'm pretty sure it will hold up well in the machine. I will let it air dry as the instructions that came with it say the rug will shrink a bit as it dries because it is cotton. The photos I've attached were taken shortly after taking it out of the bag so you can see the carpet is a bit wrinkled. After a day or two, wrinkles disappear and the skin lies perfectly evenly. I bought a cheap little anti slip mat underneath because the mat was slippery without anything but now it's nice and sturdy. The white color of the rug is a true white, not an "off-white" color for those wondering. I would definitely recommend this rug!
