Review on Optimized Search: Fluval Chi Cover by Charity Holloway

Not sure what quality to expect but it was on my wish list for several months and I finally bought it. It has a cut-out on one side for the original filter holder, but as I'm using a Whisper 40i and 2 clip-on reading LEDs from Ikea, I knew I had to change something. I chose to lose 1 light and clip the 40i directly to the remaining light's clip. The device fits perfectly in the cutout after careful tuning and modification. I didn't want to cut the lid or mount lights behind the tank because I could get it to work as is, so I did. The aquarium is my bedroom humidifier and evening lamp, and it's mostly java moss and pond snails, with some duckweed floating on top and two lily rhizomes just starting to grow, so a light source is fine. FYI I put a fine mesh on the 40i's air intake to keep java moss out and the surrounding area is just a big BioMax bag. I was losing water too fast so I finally got a lid. There were two ridges on the inside of the notch which I shaved off with a sharp knife. Everything is cool now.
