Review on BE-117 Oben Ball Head by Emily Wilson

good ball head, given the price you can almost give 5 stars. I bought this to pair with my Platypus Pro Max Mini Stand/Tripod. I already have a great Kirk BH-3 ball head for four times this price but I wanted something portable, durable and not too expensive. Holds my Nikon D600 well with a 24-70 2.8 lens. You have to tighten it, but it holds up well. I have attached a photo. There seems to be a misunderstanding about compatibility with other quick release plates. The Oben BE-117 works great with the Kirk trigger plate that was made for my D600 and I believe other Arca plates will work as well.
