Review on KREG KMA3200 Shelf Pin Drilling by Derrick Lowell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well designed time saving tool

It comes with everything you need EXCEPT a clip to hold it in place. You'll appreciate having a Kreg clip to hold this thing in place. The drill is very sharp. So if you press down hard on the drill bit, it will poke through the wood, leaving a likely rough, split appearance. So my advice is to work slowly and press very lightly to get a clean hole. Like most things Kreg makes, it's well constructed. On the back there is a storage compartment for the bit and the dowel pin. The device even has a built-in deep sleeve positioner. It's also made so you can buy two and string them together for longer holes, but with the included dowel pin it's really easy to maintain registration between holes. You would have to drill hundreds of holes a day to justify the cost of buying two. I read one negative review stating that the distance of the hole from the end of the jig differs from one end to the other. This would be a problem if you rotated the light fixture 180 degrees from the left side to the right side of the cabinet. I've also read negative reviews about missing drill bits and dowel pins. The device I received had no such problems. So, I don't know how to comment other than to say mine had everything that was promised plus four small screws not listed on the box. I can't figure out why they included extra screws.

Cons
