Excellent brake pads for Trans Am 79-81 Rear disc calipers

I had to change the rear axle while I had it, I redid the rear calipers, rear brake lines, hoses and pads. I have used Power Stop for daily commutes in the past and have been pleased with the improved braking. This was the first time I've used them on an old (pre 2000) car. I am very pleased! These special pads are commonly used for front brake calipers, e.g. B. with S10 pickups. They have a clip on the piston side for mounting with front caliper pistons. This clip is easily removed for rear disc brakes that require the same rear pads. The only thing you have to reuse from the caliper is the horseshoe shaped wire clamp that goes around the caliper piston. It has 2 grommets on top that hold the caliper during installation. Don't lose or damage this thin wire clip. The only place I've seen replacements is when ordering new or rebuilt calipers. There is a D nipple that holds the pad in place after installation in the rear disc piston. Very happy with my application, the ratchet emergency brake works great with these pads and holds the car well when parked. I received a Z26-052 front end kit when it comes time to repack the front bearings.
