Not Damascus Steel: Bread Knife

I bought this to replace a 10 year old knife and how glad I am that I chose this brand. Great quality and my old hands love the ergonomics. Update, the pattern on the blade seems wrong to me to be real damascus steel. The pattern looks like it was laser engraved and is not a random pattern if the original forging method was used. The company's responses are vague, to say the least. Update: I received an email from clipordolover@gmail.com offering $50 to change my rating. I answered in two words! I have a real Damascus steel knife, but it's not!
