Easy to open and didn't take me long to figure out how to fold it back. The instructions show in step 3 that you only have to fold it inwards in 5 places. I add B, C, D, then the two sides in that order. I love that it folds up as compactly for travel as step 4. The small zippered door is easy to roll up and out of the way by attaching velcro straps to either side. I've circled the 2 parts in yellow on the inside of the door. My chi mix bitch weighs about 5.5kg and she easily fits in the pen with one of her dog beds.
