Review on 🍎 Effortlessly Slice and Core Apples with Prepworks by Progressive 16-Slice Thin Apple Slicer & Corer by Barbara Majdoch

Nearly Perfect 16-Slice Apple Corer/Slicer

I'm having trouble finding a 16 disc corer/slicer. I find 8 apple slices too thick. I had an 8/16 adjustable slicer but it was difficult to use and the slices were never even. Over time it became difficult to align the 16 discs, so I gave up on the adjustable models. Many slicers have angled blades so they don't cut the fruit all the way through. I like this slicer because the blades are flat at the base and the attachment pushes through the slices so very little sticks to the blades. It takes some effort to get firmer apples for 16 slices, but I still prefer this over 8 slices. With the exception of the blades they are all plastic and I hope they will last a long time. My 2 complaints about this (and all) apple cutters: 1. The core diameter is too small, so the cut apples can still have cores and cores. The entire slicer should be about 1/2 inch larger in diameter. Some of my favorite apples are quite large and won't fit through this food slicer. " Diameter for slicers, which can be a problem with some apple varieties.
