I totally agree with the two-star review recently written by another user: The cubes are ridiculously difficult to remove, mainly due to their small size (more on that later more) and definitely there's something washing out of the shell's lining into cubes, which turn into nasty flakes in the drink as the cubes dissolve. (Like the other reviewer, I did my own testing with different bowls, water sources, etc. The flakes only appear when I use these bowls.) Unlike the other reviewer, I've decided to push the rating even further to one star to belittle . because the design of these trays makes them unusable. Each tray has 36 comically small hexagonal slots: barely the size of a nickel and 3/4 inch deep. To make matters worse, the guide only suggests filling the cells to 75%, a goal that no level of superhuman motor skills and patience will achieve. Once frozen, the cubes are too small to benefit from the attraction. Pallets are too flexible to be leveraged by twisting, bending, or pushing. The only way to lure out the cubes is to play around with 36 individual cells one at a time. FAIL.
