Review on πŸ“Ά NETGEAR N450-100NAS (8x4) WiFi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router (N450) - Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, Cablevision & More Compatible by Keize Barraza

The router's menu was very user-friendly and easy to navigate to set up the Wi-Fi network as well.

I was extremely skeptical that this would work well or set up properly with Cox Communications. I had nothing but trouble getting my last cable modem to work years ago, and the router add-on almost never worked without constant resetting. I plugged in this cable modem, went to their online activation website (make sure you selected the CG3000D Netgear modem in the drop down list, CG3000Dv2 wasn't there), entered my account details and it said it would activate , which made me laugh. After 2 minutes it was fully functional. unbelievable. For the first time, no phone calls to the evil empire were needed. It was installed in an apartment with heavy 2.4GHz WiFi traffic. There was a full speed signal throughout the duplex without any problems. The router menu was very user-friendly and the Wi-Fi network was easy to set up. It goes without saying, but in places with strong Wi-Fi, set the channel to AUTO so it can scan and find the best frequency channel for you, or use the app to see which channel has the least interference, to select it manually. This helps a lot in the Wi-Fi speed you get on your devices. This time a device that actually keeps what it promises. It only took 2 minutes to connect and set up, it may take another 2 minutes to set up the Wi-Fi network. Bravo Netgear! My router's menu pages opened as fast as any web page (fast) so I didn't have this problem. Maybe a newer firmware version? Only the shelf life is unknown as it is only a week old. But usually when you're dealing with Cox, it takes me a week to get down to business, so it's like found money.
