Wow, I wholeheartedly recommend it.
If you are looking for carpet tape BUY IT. I have [cheap] laminate and was a bit paranoid about laying it on it without damaging it, but so far so good! Incredibly sticky yet able to lift for setting and cleaning. I would definitely recommend letting the rug rest/lay flat first as removing the tape from the rug itself has broken much of the support thread.
