Years ago I reinforced the landscape around my trees and flower beds with two layers of railroad ties. I secured them with rebar. Now the links are rotten and need to be removed. I forgot how deep I drove the rebar. I couldn't pull them out or even break them off. I was tempted to just drive them into the ground, but I refused. You're probably wondering what this has to do with that auger? I've found a hat, if I drill along the rebar on opposite sides to a depth of about 25 inches and fill those holes with water I can pull the rebar out in about 15 minutes with very little effort so it gets the job done who i needed it for!
