Goodbye support!

Modifications include those that cost a little more but will provide a large return over the life of your vehicle. These Quicklift spacers are just such a mod! You can go for the stainless steel version for $40 more, but my personal interest was that my engine bay was mostly black and white. I actually had a set of Elite stainless steel Quicklift struts on another Mustang and they are well worth the extra money for what you get. But my car is garaged and driven in good weather, so I'm more concerned about the color of the engine bay than rust or corrosion. The best part about this investment is that you can finally get rid of that support bar! No more fiddling with that thing or trying to get a clear view of the engine bay. Very easy assembly, all parts included. There is some inked text on the post stems, but you can remove it with Goof-off or paint thinner. I chose to keep the Redline stickers as I don't mind promoting their product, but you can remove them for a completely invisible look. Operation is smooth and quiet, and there is no longer a need to slam or throw the hood to close; The posts do a great job of steady rate lowering, so all you have to do is push on the front of the hood to engage the latch mechanism. Too bad we can't see them all the time, but I just always want to put the hood on when I'm parking!
