Useful and inexpensive CAN bus module.

Be sure to check which crystal you have programmed to use. As a result, I dropped the 8MHz crystal from the package and soldered the 16MHz crystal in place. Using Copperhill Technologies' J1939 scripts (great resource) they are programmed for a 16MHz crystal.

Pros

5VDC power module power, SPI interface protocol control, 120Ω terminating resistor, impedance matching, driving ability guaranteed, long-distance data transmission to avoid interference.
