Works perfectly! The crystal is 8MHz, not 16MHz.

Works great just note the crystal is 8MHz not 16MHz so the CNF settings in your programs will need to be changed. Also, I desoldered the 7-pin headers and soldered them to the bottom of the board so they work better in solderless breadboards. My only recommendation to the seller/manufacturer is to place the 7 pin connectors on the bottom of the board.

Pros
  • Beautiful design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Terrible soldering, flux not cleaned.

Basically I had to redo all the contacts because they were either not completely soldered or were crooked. They also didn't bother to clean the parts.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • Everything ok

Useful and inexpensive CAN bus module.

Be sure to check which crystal you have programmed to use. As a result, I dropped the 8MHz crystal from the package and soldered the 16MHz crystal in place. Using Copperhill Technologies' J1939 scripts (great resource) they are programmed for a 16MHz crystal.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Pros
  • 5VDC power module power, SPI interface protocol control, 120Ξ© terminating resistor, impedance matching, driving ability guaranteed, long-distance data transmission to avoid interference.
Cons
  • Almost never

Needs some work but will work

I bought these for my Arduino project. All three came with 8MHz crystals. Jumpers for 120 ohm terminators were not included in the kit, so I had to purchase them separately. was disappointed with the "arduino-CAN" library that is part of the Arduino IDE. Even an MCP with crystal at 8 MHz cannot be reliably started. You can see many pull requests for this library on GitHub, some of them help to solve my problems. To get the best performance out of these boards, I replaced the oscillators with…

Pros
  • Module Size: 44mm x 28mm, Pitch of Set Screw Holes: 23mm x 38mm.
Cons
  • Long time
