Less reliable than a $2 tube in a track

I can't even tell what kind of plagiarism this was. Sliding door. I know for a fact it wasn't the right size tongue for my door. Luckily I had an old one to use. The body was a bent, chipped and pre-scratched injection molded part that did not fit well in the pre-cut narrow slot of the sliding door. It was obviously either used or poorly prepared, as I had to bend it with pliers to get the locking mechanism to work properly. There should be a loop at the bottom to keep the lock from stretching too much, but it was bent so I had to cut it with wire cutters to lock/unlock properly. looks like painted metal but dents and warps like cheap plastic. The screws that came with it didn't have the right thread for the screw holes either. They have a flat head and will bend and snap if you're not extra careful. I replaced them with Phillips head screws. The same product from the same company is $10 for the chrome finish and $20 for the white finish. You have to use expensive white.
