I love this film holder. With Epson's standard holder you always have to keep the glass clean on the holder and that was a real agony. Now with this holder you don't have to scan the glass of the film holder anymore. As others have reported it is very stiff and difficult to open and close when new but loosens up a bit over time. The technique for a proper seal is to insert the film, make sure the film is flat and between the guides, and then press one side first and then the other. It needs a big boost, but like I said, it gets better with time.
