Does nothing

I've tried and tried to get this to work by tilting slightly to the outside world and then waiting for the signal to rise, repeat, etc., could never tell it made a difference . i opened it It looks like a "patch antenna" (I'm not an expert) which is pretty real. However, it didn't do anything for me.
