I have a Weber grille that caused the front wheels to fail. This is a brand new grill, and even though these grills cost a thousand dollars, they have a $10 plastic wheel built in that won't take any bumps or movement. If you're like me, the grill has wheels and needs to move. I take it out on the patio and often put it somewhere else to make it more accessible. The end result is wheels that fail. I sent Weber a photo of the wheels deforming and breaking the plastic. They sent me the same replacement units. That is not an answer. The spare wheels are a small 3/8 inch bar attached to a cheap plastic rim. The wheels themselves on the grille are hard plastic and not even rubber. They are super strong. I attach them to the bottom with a 3/8" bolt and a large washer to spread the forces on the bottom plate. They are, in simple terms, bulletproof. Now I'm looking for swivel wheels for the front. I wish they were cheaper. I understand that installing $70-80 with wheels on the grill will add to the cost. This should be an option.
