I'm actually using a Xeon-e3 1280v2 which isn't on the compatibility list but it recognizes it fine. The memory compatibility list is quite small. Corsair Dominator Platinum 2 x 8GB 1866 cl9 is not listed and will not work on 1866 with any frequency or timing combination. Sounds like a bios incompatibility. So pay attention to the memory compatibility list and it is excellent. I especially like that it has so many Sata2/3 slots which many itx boards don't have.
