The knife is pretty sharp, I wanted to use it on a birthday cake for my best friend. You can definitely use it to cut the cake in two if you want to add toppings in the middle. My only problem was the player I was using. The handle feels solid but at the same time feels like it could break at any moment due to the material it's made of. This is a good knife if you want to cut bread. You just have to stay in place to make sure it's a clean cut. It's not too difficult to store, but remember this is a long knife. Looks a lot bigger in real life.
