I have several dust box style vacuums but they are only dry so the fact that this Dirt Devil QuickFlip Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner can handle liquid/wet messes was very intriguing. to me. It's a good little mid-range cordless vacuum for quick and light messes, but it mostly only works well for smaller jobs. The suction power is mediocre in my opinion, but it gets the job done quite well, including picking up a small amount of spills/liquids. Make sure you throw away wet stuff once you're done or you'll kick yourself later on as this can quickly become quite awkward and you don't want them sticking to the things inside. I love how easy it is to get the junk and stuff out - the lid pops off more easily than others I've tried in this category, so I'm happy with that. As far as handling dry things, it picks up dust, dirt, crumbs and other light debris with sufficient ease, but it doesn't have enough strength to lift anything heavier. My husband doesn't like using this on his truck as he collects small rocks and gravel in there and for that it's inefficient. For the price and what you get from it, I think it's ok. I can use this on my stairs to easily pick up pet hair from my large dog who likes to pile up in corners and it's handy for cleaning up after my messy kids. If you're looking for something similar for lighter tasks you'll probably be happy with this, but if you're looking for something heavier you should probably look elsewhere. Depending on what you need, YMMV.
