10SI that died on my 1966 Massey Ferguson 135 (Perkins diesel) and I wanted to improve safety. The generator lies unprotected on the side of the engine. The fins of a running 10SI fan can tear skin if slipped or dropped. The fan of this 12SI looks much safer. I certainly didn't need 94 amps and I doubt I'll ever use them. The charging process starts at about 800 rpm of the engine or 2400(?) rpm of the generator. So far I have left pin 1 unconnected and connected pin 2 to the output pole. Someday I will change the width of the alternator pulley (pulley) to match the width of the engine pulleys. In general, the installation of the generator took about 40 minutes, no complaints. I'll check back in a few years.
