Many reviews point to the imperfect storage tray that comes with the tool. It doesn't hold all the tools securely in place, making transporting the tools awkward. I solved this problem by creating a custom cover. I cut a thin (1/16 inch) sheet of Plexiglas to exactly fit the outline of the tray's rounded rectangle. I didn't cut the short edge part where the armholes are. Instead, I used the resulting Plexiglas bar as a place to install small pieces of wood. Each piece has a 1/8" by 1/8" groove cut by a corner edge that mates with a similarly sized protrusion in the shell. Once screwed, the ledge in the wood secures the lid to the tray. Perspex is strong enough to stay in place with the pieces of wood holding it to the tray, yet flexible enough to be easily removed if needed. Thin plywood like 1/8 inch lauan will also work, but without the cool transparency factor.
