Collected the package from the doorstep less than 5 minutes ago so this rating is based on touch and sight only. When I saw the packaging I was sure I had received the wrong item, the packaging was flatter and stiffer than I would have expected from a yarn. Instead, all air was removed and the bag quickly sealed. After it opened, it spread. I made this purchase to see if the product could complement a yarn purchase I made from another company over a year ago. Cotton thread #3 or DK. This yarn looks and feels the same as the ones I've already bought - some colors don't match and this company doesn't offer solid colors in this weight. I also bought a pack of hard worsted weight materials (#4) to see what the difference in size would be after putting it together. Mostly for grandma's favorite washcloths, so the size doesn't matter that much, except the price. If there is a noticeable difference in the finished product from what I originally purchased I will re-read this review. Otherwise, let's assume I'm happy with this new product.
