I hated changing the starter in my old 2001 Firebird Formula, but it made a pretty crappy mess of paper (too big to move, actually). It was almost unbelievably lucky when it stopped working in my own garage. I put it aside and fiddled with the little relay, hoping I didn't have to crawl under it and deal with it. Heck, he's been on duty for 14 years! They give a long bolt because the original has a short one and this model has 2 long ones. And yes, it barely fits in such a limited space, right down to the front wheel. I didn't make it my mission to remove unnecessary things. But I finally did it and everything works great. Now I can use a smaller paperweight. And my sports car is back! The very affordable price was a big bonus as the quality and warranty seem to back that up perfectly. probably), it's much more affordable than some starters. I wonder how much it would cost me to lug my paperweight to the shop and pay for the labor on a more expensive starter?
