No long screw. Almost ruined my night

Starter received on time. Ran through all my new wires and now it's time for the starter. Open the box and NO LONG SCREW! I researched this in the questions section and was told that he should have come up with one. There is even a bolt with a starter in the photo. I had to ask a good friend to walk to the parts store to buy me a long screw and have it delivered to me (only 1 hour drive). Let's hope I have better luck now that the starter is on the car. It feels like your car broke down and you

Think again! in starters

Bought on June 30, 2015 and paid for 2 days perfectly received by Revain and worked well for just under 6 months. The starter stopped engaging the flywheel at this point. When searching for an order and Revain's website, there is no warranty statement, just a statement of roadside assistance which does not cover having the vehicle towed. Search Quality-Built and find the contact number, luckily it doesn't exist. He again points to a third-party company that provides technical support to several

Nice little starter

I hated changing the starter in my old 2001 Firebird Formula, but it made a pretty crappy mess of paper (too big to move, actually). It was almost unbelievably lucky when it stopped working in my own garage. I put it aside and fiddled with the little relay, hoping I didn't have to crawl under it and deal with it. Heck, he's been on duty for 14 years! They give a long bolt because the original has a short one and this model has 2 long ones. And yes, it barely fits in such a limited space, right…

For beginners. for starters

That's a little thing and only one. This is where my only minus ends. The product arrived on time, looked good, seems well assembled. It wasn't easy to put in place as my lower quality old one came out completely when the part fell apart by simply unscrewing it and removing it straight from the old starter. Installation was difficult, I had to use bolt cutters to finish the job and that made everything that much more difficult. I don't blame the new starter for the problem as it got a lot…

Good starter, read about installing on Tahoe 4X4

Decided to change the motor going through 3 phases of a dying starter then slow (wah wah noise) then ticking noise of the Tac-solenoids and, finally, tapping a wrench to wind it up. I replaced the starter motor on a 2002 4X4 Chevy Tahoe Z71 and believe me it's no easy task. In a 4X4, the front axle reduces ground clearance to a minimum. Seriously, there's almost no ground clearance, the repair manual calls for removing one of the bolts holding the axle to the frame/chassis; and that was the…
