Do not force the motor into the pump before checking the flange clearance.
I had a problem installing this motor in the pump housing. I had to cut off part of the flange body to allow the piston to slide freely into the pump. Mounted on a 50hp Suzuki 4-stroke outboard engine. A week and it works perfectly.
