Review on Adapter ELUTENG Converter Portable External by Dakota Tailor

I have ordered many of these in the past and they all come with the ASmedia 1153E chipset which supports SATA 3 speeds. My last order was on 02/24/2021, they are all now older ASMedia 1153 (no "E"), which means they no longer support SATA-3, only SATA-2. This means they don't work as advertised. If you have one with 1153 chipset, check the SSD connection speed. it will be 3 Gbps instead of 6 Gbps. If you look at the circuit board of the old 1153E compared to the current 1153, the EEPROM is also missing. It's a lure and a switch. I do not recommend purchasing this adapter until they return to the 1153E chipset. They continue to advertise as ASMedia 1153E. The old ones were great.
