Review on Pecute Convertible Waterproof Scratch Protector by April Irvin

Nicely made, almost perfect rear seat cover!

I have used a number of rear seat covers in my Lexus RX SUVs over the last 20 years, initially to protect the leather seats from my golden retrievers and in recent years also from my granddaughter and her car seat. This coating is the cheapest and appears to be the most durable coating I have ever used. Having only received it recently I can't fully confirm its durability but from the looks of it I expect it to last a long, long time. It came in a zip case and I don't quite understand why, but it shows the company's attention to detail. I assume the cover stays on the seat and to be honest I don't think I'll ever be able to fold it up and put it back in the cover. But the bag has two handles and a zippered top, and it will be useful to collect dog toys or lunch or snacks in it. The cover was very easy to assemble. One of the reasons I went with this was a mesh panel between the backs of the front seats to allow the air conditioning vent to actually pass through the back, and there are zips on either side of the panel for flexibility. Designed to fit between the backrest and rear seat, the curved pieces are strong and thicker than most and hold the cover securely in place. I've never had a lid that offers the option of hanging the sides to protect the door panels. I like to use the side panels to protect the sides of the seat to the ground, and my girlfriend likes to stick her head out the half-open window to catch the breeze and smell. And I think the straps holding the door guards upright will get in the way. The fabrics that make up this cover look very durable and impervious to grit and grit, and there are no seams for these substances to penetrate your skin. The only thing missing from my last boot (which just wore out after a few years) was a long horizontal strap running end-to-end along the back of the back seat to secure the top edge of the trunk. a few inches below the headrests. I can remove it from the old case and add it to this one, but other than that I think it's almost perfect. A BIG WARNING - the sleeve comes with a strap that is meant to be attached to the harness and then connected to your dog. PLEASE DO NOT buckle your dog by the collar! That would be incredibly dangerous! Take a harness with a front chest plate (preferably padded) and attach the harness strap to the back of the harness along the dog's spine. Under no circumstances should you leave your dog hanging around in the car. It shoots a missile at you or into the windshield if you ever get into an accident and can be hit by an airbag. A good harness protects them and you too. I love that this case comes in black or grey. I look forward to using it for a long time. Very well done Pekute!
