Couldn't give a stronger product recommendation. Initially I had two problems with the kit. First there was a small mark on the whetstone which formed a small bump on the surface of the stone. Second, it was very difficult to remove the stone from the storage case/base. After the manufacturer was made aware of these issues, they immediately issued a refund without my knowledge. After receiving the refund I offered to return the product but was told it was not necessary. Rather than wasting a grindstone, I used the included grinder to remove the slight bulge. Since then I have used the stone several times and I can say that I really like it and the foundation that comes with it. to be damaged. During transport, the sharpening stone is packed in a shrink film that ensures a tight fit on the base. In practice I have found that this is not the case and there was no damage upon careful removal. This tight fit pays dividends when sharpening a knife. The stone placed in the base practically does not move when sharpening knives. In terms of product quality, reliable manufacturer support and completeness of the kit, there is nothing else that compares in this price range.
