Review on Lisle 71500 Exhaust Manifold Template by Brennan Buckley

Good value for Manifolds and Parts

I ordered this after chipping off a slight exit to the 5.4 exhaust manifold from the driver's side rear bottom. Cleaned the block and mounted block, could not drill the drill bit from the kit because the hardened steel broke easily. Removed the block and spent the morning using a dremel with abrasive, diamond and carbide bits. Barely gotten anywhere was ready to give up, then decided to use a dremel carbide drill bit to cut cement grout, it worked wonders, repaired the damage in 5 minutes with no problem. I wish I had this device just for starters, my advice is if the bolt doesn't show any signs of movement just jump in to drill it out, don't worry about the easy setup, just take your time and approach the chip blowing drills. and smear as you go. I used an Irwin faucet set that included 3 8mm x 1.25 faucets, using the bottom faucet last. It's good to have a depth gauge. I broke a 2 1/8" drill bit simply by drilling through a bolt. So if you have multiple bolts, get extra bits. A Port Freight close-in drill worked well for the stud I drilled. I looked at a cheaper version and thought this one was better. Saved my install
