I want to like them but they're not really recyclable

I like the way they look and I love that their aluminum is 100% recyclable almost everywhere, unlike most other plastic cups . But there are a number of things that make them just plain undesirable. Let's start with the fact that aluminum is a super efficient coolant. If you store an iced drink in it, you risk frostbite no matter how hot it is. The aluminum, on the other hand, quickly transfers your body heat into the drink. If you try to pour a hot beverage into one of these mugs, you're doomed. Durability is another issue. They never think a plastic cup is durable, but it's pretty certain that if you push a plastic cup in, most of them will pop back up to round back up. Aluminum wears out a little more. Don't get me wrong, they're pretty strong. They won't fall apart any more than an aluminum can. But they get dented and dented during transportation and storage, so when you use them, they already look used. Finally, there is one last thing that scares me: teeth. I don't know if there is a real galvanic effect or if it's just my imagination, but the water just smells a little. electric. from these cups. If you imagine yourself chewing foil, it makes these cups even more difficult to use. So will I use them? Well, when I throw a keg, I still knock out red solo cups. But when I invite a few people over for a BBQ, they pile up in the closet, along with other fancy disposables like bamboo, which I'm happy to grab.
