UPDATE: This starter didn't last a year with light use before the starter solenoid blew out. The company sent a replacement, but it cost me $21 to ship the defective unit back. Not as good as I thought. My F-350 has always been very difficult to start since it was new. All the Ford dealers told me it's because the 7.3 liter diesel is a big engine and they all don't start well so they have 2 big batteries. Immediately after the warranty expired I went for an oil change and they decided to let me know I had a bad starter and offered to replace it (at full price). I installed this launcher today - what a difference! Starts like a petrol. I didn't even let the spark plugs warm up before starting it. I wasn't expecting the engine to actually start, I just wanted to make sure the new starter would work. Installation was easy and took about 1/2 hour. This device is made in China but looks high quality - time will tell. I KNOW Ford factory parts will fail, so I don't buy them anymore. Ford's warranty service sure stinks - they don't try to fix things at all. In fact, that's why I went to the Honda dealership to buy a new car instead of going to the Ford dealership.
