Review on πŸ”§ FEL-PRO TCS 46077 Timing Cover Gasket Set: Premium Performance and Reliable Sealing Solution by Luis Green

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Main control seal missing almost Β½ inch (twice)

TLDR: Control gasket does not fit and pulls almost half an inch in two brand new sets. Bought for a 2006 Buick Lacrosse 3800 Series III after experiencing a massive coolant leak from both timing case cover coolant passages to the block. (Pictures of RTV in pan gasket section) Bought the kit and attempted to install it the day after delivery. And no matter what, I couldn't line up all of the screw holes on either side of the block. The front end was leveled and the oil pan was exposed. The aft end retreated into the control kitchen and never could because the gasket on the oil pan went down and up. (Pictures of the new clean upholstery) Have returned and tried a brand new one again to make sure it fits properly as all previous reviews have praised it. Unfortunately it didn't fit at all. behind the water pump it bulged and began to flex as the timing cover was tightened. It's a steel core gasket, so it just doesn't have the flexibility. Can't comment on the other spacers in the kit as I didn't even have to install them from anyone else, but visually they look like the right size. But the current timing cover gasket sold in this current version does NOT fit the 3800 Series III and other recent reviews mention the SAME PROBLEM. Gasket specification is approximately 1/8 inch.
