I just wanted to give a quick overview for those having trouble scanning upc square register codes as I only spent a few hours trying to figure out how to force him to work . First connect it to the hub, then you need to scan the factory default barcode on the back of the manual. I then had to go to Zebra and download the ls2208 reference manual to enable the upc-a code. (p. 163). Finally, the registry looks up the UPC number in the SKU field. I uploaded my products to Squareup and put the UPC in the GTIN box. So if you're like me, just download the file, copy the UPC to the SKU box and upload again. Now the cash register works with a barcode scanner.
