Used as part of a circuit to regulate generator current and charge a small fridge battery I built. I knew I was approaching the 10 AWG limit of my wiring and couldn't figure out why it was getting hot. As a result, I connected it to a desktop power supply and found that even with the output off and not charging, the device has a minimal parasitic consumption of 4 amps. Otherwise, it's pretty stable and gets the job done.
