. This is a great device, it holds my phone securely and I sometimes know where my phone is. I feel much more secure with my phone in this holder, I don't look for it when I'm driving. I tried the magnetic type that fits in your air vents and you put the metal part on the back of the phone/case but my phone often falls/slips off the magnetic part and then I can't look at my phone to get the to find direction. where am I going. I would suggest measuring the cup holder opening before ordering as this cup holder is perfect for my van but too small for my SUV. My cell phones are bigger and the mount that holds your phone is getting bigger and holds my phone securely.
