The one we bought had a natural wood finish and I was very pleased that it wasn't rough, wood-like chipboard. It consists of boards and parts made of real solid wood. It was very easy to put together and is very strong and sturdy. I'm a nearly 200 lb man and I can sit in these chairs and the table doesn't warp or sag at all and the table is incredibly strong. I've even sat on a table and it has never warped or sagged and we've had it for about 2 years now. For something I wasn't expecting, I was very impressed with this table and chair from Revain Basics. I don't know if they still offer a natural finish, I find the white color very impractical because I think it will chip and dent very easily. I really hate the modern colorless aesthetic which to me is just very boring and soulless, there is so much focus on white and gray in modern home decor these days and it's just gross.
