I bought this vacuum to replace an older, bulkier vacuum that was losing suction. So far this little vacuum cleaner has been amazing. When it arrived and I took it out of the box I got a little scared seeing how tight the vacuum was. My first thought was that I would have to do a lot more work to clean the floors. The vacuum arrived in several large pieces so I used the manual to put everything together. It only took a few minutes and was easy. After putting everything together, I'll read all the features and how to use them. You can detach the canister from the caster base to clear stairs or other awkward spots. It's definitely useful on stairs. One thing I would like to point out is that my stairs are carpeted and the free standing canister did not sit well on the carpeted stairs and I had to use my knee to make sure it didn't tip over and fall off. Stairs. There is a pad attachment with a roller that spins when attached to a stick and the vacuum is turned on. It's also good for stairs. There is also a very long, retractable, thin wand designed for cleaning under sofas and large furniture. There is also a crevice nozzle. Significantly lighter than my previous vacuum, this vacuum is incredibly easy to twist and turn. This vacuum cleaner also has a very strong suction power and works almost like a self-runner. You can also adjust the suction power if you are vacuuming a thick carpet or rug and are trying to prevent the vacuum from snagging on the carpet. The first time I used this vacuum was only a few days since I vacuumed with my old vacuum, but I filled a whole canister just vacuuming the living room and dining room carpets and my stairs. The bin is a bit smaller than my old vacuum, but if it performs significantly better I can empty it a little more often. I am very happy with my purchase.
