You'll need these high-speed needles for high-stitch work. Beautifully shaped and buttery, smooth but not too slippery. I had no problems with cables or connectors. I bought this set for the fluffier yarn after finding that the sporty merino/alpaca in the sweater set was sticking too much to the bamboo needles. Hiya Hiya needles have a good taper but the tips are dull and stitches like mk1R are a bit difficult. I wouldn't use them for lace. You can buy a sharp set for this.
