Purchased to replace the tensioner on a Subaru Outback 2000 that was factory. The image is accurate in that "JAPAN" and "NTN" are cast on the cast. They also match the markings on the factory part. The finish of the cast isn't as smooth, but it's probably a variation of the cast. was a steal compared to the local Subaru dealer price which was at least 50% higher. A handy "grenade pin" is already present, which is very easy to install.
