4 stars over 5 because the included Mitsubishi timing belt is made in the USA not Japan and doesn't look as heavy as the Toyota OEM belt it replaces . But it works and is very quiet. The rest of the components in the kit, as mentioned in other reviews, are all of high quality. In my opinion, the included metal water pump gasket is a must. This is the first 1MZ-FE engine I've built and I've found on this engine that when the cam disc marks match exactly, the crank mark isn't exactly at TDC; it's just before TDC. I tried the Gates belt and it turned out to be the same thing. Before you intervene, no, it definitely wasn't a knocked out tooth; I purposely tried to move it a tooth in each direction and that only moved it more. In any case, the car drives as usual.
