Simple and accessible to everyone

Cut out the key ($25), program it according to the instructions provided and it did everything except START the car. None of the websites I visited or the U-Tube videos I watched explained enough that there were two things that needed programming. First, the buttons on the key that open and close the doors are simple and can be made by anyone. The second is to tie the chip in the key to a specific car's ignition. This can only be done by a dealer or locksmith who has special software. I took it back to the same locksmith and had it done for $75. So $10-$15 for a blank key plus $25 for cutting and $75 for programming isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than buying from a dealer. The instructions that come with the key should be clearer. Another note: When programming the buttons, you must have all the car fobs with you so that they all match. If you're syncing the internal chip, you must have all the keys, with knobs and the chamber key, as that also has a chip. Both programs actually change the "code" so that keys that are not included no longer work. Both programming must also be carried out in the vehicle. The locksmith used a laptop when installing my keys from the car.
