Works with new Macs - with one caveat

To everyone who has a Mac and wants to buy one. Some of the previous versions of MacOS obviously didn't work with this monitor. But I have two different Macs and they both work great with this monitor. I use a Thunderbolt 3 dock to switch between two computers (one for work, one for personal use) and it works fine. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is changing hot cords. Instead, I only used the LG 5k2k after putting the Mac to sleep and then swapping cables. Within the first week of receiving the monitor, I encountered a hot swap issue. My Macbook Pro detected a second monitor and then lowered the resolution on the main display (5k2K). I couldn't seem to figure out what was wrong even after playing around with the display settings on the Mac. After reading some help forums on the LG website, I found a solution: turn off the monitor and unplug it for about 5 minutes. All of the charge in the capacitors will be discharged, then restart your monitor and Mac. After a reboot, the monitor worked fine. Other than that one case, I haven't had any issues with it on my Macs. I also turn off the monitor with the joystick every time. I do not leave the monitor on with a splash screen. If I have to go, I just turn off the monitor. If you do this, LG 5k2K works great on Mac. Here are my Mac configurations if you're interested.
