I installed this starter on my 1995 Ford F-450 7.3 PowerStroke. This starter is almost twice the size of the original factory starter. I installed this new starter and it only had 2 bolt holes instead of the 3 the original truck has. I was skeptical that two holes would be enough and the starter would play, but that didn't happen. Being able to use only two holes on the starter suited the engine perfectly, and it felt very secure and solid given its sheer size and weight. When connecting the connections I had many problems. Not so much the main power wire as a small wire from the relay. The small screw was a headache and it was very difficult for me to get my hands in there and align the wire connector ring and threaded screw. I was very upset, maybe my hands are too big. But it's almost twice the size of the original. So I decided to take the whole starter back, put it on a leaf spring, put it together with little effort and lift it back up. Batteries connected and started. It was very fast and sounded very strong. How long does this starter last? I have no idea, I only use this truck once a week so hopefully for many years to come. But he has more torque when starting the engine.
