Review on ๐Ÿšฐ Moen Brantford T6620BN Two Handle Widespread Faucet by David Banks

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm happy with it, but there are a few criticisms.

I installed this faucet myself in a new cupboard about 2 weeks ago. So far so good - no leaks. I have 2 minor complaints: 1. The finish is a bit darker than the rest of the Brantford accessories that I have fitted to match. If you look at the photos of these items (tp holder, towel bar, toilet handle, round towel bar and coat hook), you may notice that some of them, especially the tp holder, look a little different from others. However, I found all of the accessories to match, but this faucet was a little darker - not the flashy brushed nickel in the picture above, but a tad darker. It's not that big of a deal, but I paid for perfection.2. It has more to do with the valve required, but if you can get this, you should get this too. With an 8 inch spread you better have nimble fingers to connect everything. The control valve stems face each other and the actual faucet, and there is very little space to connect them. Combine that with a bulky faucet gasket (which supposedly isn't needed if the vanity top is over 1/4 inch deep) and installing this thing is no fun. Not to mention that all the connecting hoses are wrapped on top of each other in 8" increments as they extend all the way to 16". While the quick connect feature is nice, it's an under-sink mess. Just a warning that installation may take longer than you think. Plastic cartridges were also mentioned in another review and I'll keep that in mind. It seems that the flow paths have a very small cruciform shape that would probably clog if you had a lot of scale in the old galvanized pipes. And I can't waterproof the flask. There's a slight leak, although it's a tight fit despite some adjustments.
