On a computer I built earlier this year, I ended up having to mount two of my exhaust fans (Cooler Master SickleFlow 120) on the outside of my case (Cooler Master Elite 430). There needed to be something between the fans and the case to keep the fans from drawing outside air from the gap between the case and the fans, and thus force them to draw as much air as possible from the inside of the case through the vents. These gaskets achieve this to a reasonable level, but I can tell from the thin lines of blue light around the gaskets (the fans are illuminated with blue LEDs) that they don't do a perfect job. Close enough, though. If I wanted perfect, I probably should have used silicon caulk.
