Review on Thomas Plastic Traceable Refrigerator Thermometer by Lawrence George

We bought this item to keep track of a large chest freezer and it has already saved us about $1,000 on meat. We have a small farm and we had a huge old freezer where we store our farm pork and chicken. With this monitor, I noticed the temperature rising well before it approached 32 degrees. This gave us time to move the meat to other freezers without losing anything. A bottle of antifreeze gives a much more stable reading than just a temp gauge in the air because it dampens the peaks and troughs of temperature change. I haven't figured out how to safely set the alarm, but I haven't looked at the manual either. I have a reader next to the kitchen sink that I can use to read the temperature several times a day.
